Once Upon A Time In Mexico has all the trapping of a great movie. What a cast: Antonio Banderas. Johnny Depp. Selma Hayek. Eva Mendes. Willem Dafoe. Cheech Martin. Enrique Inglesias. Mickey Rourke.

In 1938, Walter Winchell labeled Seabiscuit, a under-sized purebred horse with knobby knees and a funny walk, the most famous mammal on the planet. That means he outranked Hitler and FDR. That’s because in America, everybody loves the underdog. His trainers and owners had given up on him. But a grieving millionaire, a horse whisperer, and a half-blind jockey saw something no one else did. Their faith in his powers unlocked the winner they knew was there. Don’t we all want to feel that way?

"The Sixth Sense" had the biggest surprise ending in Hollywood history, equaling Luke Skywalker's disbelief when he discovered who his father was. Director M. Night Shyamalan's second film, "Unbreakable," had a shocker in its final frame, too. His third film, "Signs," has some deep dark secrets in its final minutes, but nothing near the surprise of the first two films.

With the stock market crashing and burning and suicide bombers attacking America, the world’s not a pretty place right now.

If you think you’ve got problems, be glad you’re not Tom Hanks in Road to Perdition, No. 1 at the box office last week. In his world, his boss’ greedy son murders his wife and son, then puts out a Mob contract for him and his firstborn. Raw intelligence and an unequivocal desire for revenge let Hanks outwit them all … almost.

Even though this movie won a prize at the Cannes Film festival, I hated it Like, I wanted my money back!
